Aim

To promote awareness of post-school education in target schools and support ASPIRENorth programme of activities, under direction and supervision.

Key Tasks

• Assist with the delivery and smooth running of the activities.
• Facilitate group discussions with respect to exploring ideas, progression through tasks and reporting results to class.
• Answer questions relating to the activity, reflecting your personal experiences of education and work, as appropriate.
• Encourage pupil involvement.
• Challenge negative attitudes of participating in Further / Higher Education and encourage pupils to reach their full potential.
• Motivate pupils through discussion of work opportunities and education.
• Be responsible, sensitive to pupil concerns about education and aware of sources of additional information that may be of benefit to them.
• Communicate with ASPIRENorth staff about your experiences of volunteering.
