S5 Activities

The ASPIRENorth team will work with you on 7 separate occasions this year.  You will take part in the following activities:

Time for a Recap
For groups of S5 pupils who have participated in the ASPIRENorth programme in S4 we will open with a re-cap session where we will look back at your achievements from S4. This session will allow you to meet 1-1 with a member of the ASPIRENorth team to help you plan for the coming year.

College Application Clinics
For our S5 pupils who are submitting a college or UCAS application we will be on hand to guide you through this process on a 1-1 basis.

A Day in the Life of a ...Student
You will choose a subject that you are interested in studying at college or university or would like to find out more about in this subject specific taster day at a local college or university. Spend the day as a student gaining a first hand experience of what it is like to study in your chosen subject area. Make the most of your experience by going on a tour of the department and getting the chance to ask your questions to academic staff and students currently studying in this area. You will also hear from the Students Association about the wider aspects of student life.

Plan for Action

Towards the end of your 5th year you will benefit from a further individual meeting to help you consider your options, make the most of your summer and plan ahead for the following year.

At exam result time the ASPIRENorth team will be on hand to celebrate your success and help with any queries.
