Anna, Class 1N, Wick High School

At the end of the day, it's your future, not your friends. If your friends want to be journalists, then let them be journalists You go ahead and be a physiotherapist, at least you'll be doing what you want to do. If they were true friends, they would accept that and let you do what you want. You will still be able to spend time with them and you will meet new friends too! So I think you should do what you want to do!

Anon, Wick High School

I can't give you better advice than to do what you want to do. True friends would support you. Be positive about meeting new friends as there are always is at least one person who is friendly at a new place. Thank you for your question. Yours sincerely Auntie Janet

Leanne, Class 1S, Wick High School

Well for a start, they aren't real friends! If they were real friends they would stand by your choices. Pick the subjects YOU want to do and there will be people in your class that you can be friends with. Don't allow people to put you under pressure and remember, it's your life, not theirs!

Rachael, Class 1M, Wick High School

Don't worry. You should make your own decisions. You shouldn't always do what your friends want to do, do what you want to do. Take the subjects that are right for the job you want to do. Try to tell your friends that you can still be friends even though you won't be in the same classes. Good Luck, Auntie Janet

Charlotte, Class 1R, Wick High School

Go on and study what you want because it's not up to them what you do. You will make new friends in your class but you will still see your mates in your freetime! They may even change their mind or not enjoy what they are doing but if you stick to what you want then you know that you will like it!
