To make the right choice your son/daughter should have all the appropriate information. There are many ways to find out about post‑school opportunities:

• Visit a campus with your son/daughter – take a tour, talk to staff
• Read college/university prospectuses (handbooks) to find out about courses
• Check the list of college/university websites for a wide range of information
• Telephone the college/university with any questions
• Inquire at your child’s school - most schools organise information sessions for pupils and parents where university staff come in to talk and run activities
• Speak to your child’s guidance teacher and/or careers adviser about career nights and other activities where you can find out about universities, colleges, courses and careers
