Employers
We are seeking enthusiastic staff who are employed in local businesses and have recently completed, or are currently studying towards, a Higher Education qualification at college or university.
ASPIRENorth is a major, local schools outreach project promoting post-school education to pupils from S3 - S6 in targeted schools across the north of Scotland.
We are currently delivering workshops to 10 schools throughout the north of Scotland through a programme of activities designed to motivate, raise awareness, encourage aspiration and build self-confidence.
We can offer your staff a unique opportunity to support us in the delivery of interactive workshops at local schools, act as role models and give S3 – S6 pupils an insight into the variety of options available to them beyond school.
ASPIRENorth student volunteers have already made a valuable contribution to the project and greatly enhanced our activities. Expanding our volunteer base to include employees will further develop pupil awareness of local career and education options.
Your commitment would be the release of appropriate staff members to attend a half day training session and to participate in a minimum of one school session lasting, on average, one hour.
Participating in the ASPIRENorth programme offers a unique opportunity to develop business – education links that are known to be beneficial to all parties involved – the business organisation, the employee volunteer, the school pupils and the community.

Please have a look at our Volunteers section or download the Young Employee Volunteer Scheme leaflet to find out more about the volunteers role and benefits.
If you have any staff who would benefit from this opportunity, or would like further information, please feel free to contact us for an initial discussion.
